SEKILAS STIKES MUHAMMADIYAH KENDAL

 

 I.   LATAR BELAKANG

Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan ( STIKES ) Muhammadiyah Kendal yang sebelumnya adalah Akademi Keperawatan ( AKPER ) Muhammadiyah Kendal lahir dan berdiri atas tuntutan, dorongan dan dukungan masyarakat. Muhammadiyah merupakan Persyarikatan yang bergerak dalam bidang dakwah, sosial, pendidikan dan kesehatan, merasa terpanggil ikut serta mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa dan sekaligus mendukung upaya bangsa dalam membangun masyarakat yang sehat jasmani dan rokhani. Secara khusus dihadapkan kenyataan bahwa minat masyarakat untuk menekuni profesi di bidang keperawatan meningkat dan permintaan masyarakat terhadap trenaga keperawatan sangat luas, baik untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dalam negeri maupun negara lain.

Atas kerunia Allah Swt. dan dukungan dari berbagai pihak akhirnya pemerintah memberikan kepercayaan, secara resmi berdirilah Akper Muhammadiyah Kendal memperoleh ijin pendirian berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Kesehatan RI Nomor : HK. 00.06.1.1.548.37 tanggal 27 Pebruari 1996. Pada awal berdirinya itu menempati gedung Perguruan Muhammadiyah di Jalan Pemuda 75 Kendal, dengan jumlah mahasiswa 32 dari 63 pendaftar. Dibawah pimpinan Direktur dr. Joko Kartono dengan dibantu Pudir I Tri Ismu W, A.Md.Kep, Pudir II Drs. Abdullah Sachur dan Pudir III Suyatin, A.Md.Kep. Akper Muhammadiyah Kendal berusaha menata kedalam disamping upaya sosialisasi ke masyarakat. Pembenahan kedalam terus dilakukan, baik pembangunan fisik gedung, sarana laboratorium, perangkat manajemen maupun pengembangan sumber daya insani.

Karena dr. Joko Kartono pada saat itu juga sebagai Direktur Rumah Sakit Islam Kendal (RSIK) dan diharapkan tenaganya untuk konsentrasi pengembangan Rumah Sakit Islam, maka pada tanggal 8 Januari 1998 diadakan serah terima Direktur kepada dr. H. Muh. Sukriswo Kusdrifar (sebagai Pjs. Direktur). Pada masa kepemimpinannya melanjutkan kebijakan yang lalu, dengan membeli sebidang tanah di Ngasinan, Weleri seluas 6.200 M2 yang direncanakan untuk pembangunan Kampus Akper Muhammadiyah Kendal.

Dr. H. Muh. Sukriswo Kusdrifar menjabat sebagai Pjs. Direktur sampai tanggal 25 Juni 1998, dan pada tanggal tersebut PDM Majlis Pembina Kesehatan mengangkat Teguh Anindito, A.Md.Kep. sebagai Direktur Akper Muhammadiyah Kendal . Dalam kepemimpinan Teguh Anindito tersebut pada tahun 2000 Akper Muhammadiyah Kendal secara resmi pindah Kampus dari Jalan Pemuda 75 Kendal ke Kampus baru di Jalan Ar Rahmah No. 18 Weleri, Kendal.

Seiring perkembangan AKPER Muhammadiyah Kendal, dalam rangka pengembangan Institusi, AKPER Muhammadiyah Kendal. Pada tahun 2011 kembali pindah Kampus di Gedung Pusat Dakwah Muhammadiyah Kendal terletak di Jalan Pemuda 42-46 Kendal hingga sekarang dan telah berubah bentuk menjadi Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan ( STIKES ) Muhammadiyah Kendal berdasarkan SK. MENRISTEKDIKTI NOMOR : 17/KPT/I/ 2018. Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan ( STIKES ) Muhammadiyah Kendal dan memilik 2 ( dua ) Program Studi yakni. Prodi S. 1 Gizi dan Diploma 3 Keperawatan. Alhamdulillah hingga sekarang tetap kokoh dan eksis di tengah persaingan dan tantangan ke depan.

Hal ini terbukti semakin mendapat kepercayaan masyarakat, jumlah pendaftar semakin meningkat, sampai sekarang telah menghasilkan lulusan XX angkatan Wisuda. Profesionalitas alumni juga dapat diterima oleh masyarakat, terserap dalam lapangan/bidang profesinya sebagai perawat baik di Puskesmas, Rumah Sakit Negeri / Swasta, bahkan banyak yang telah bekerja di luar negeri sebagai tenaga ahli / terdidik. Dan Insya Allah Akper Muhammadiyah Kendal akan tetap tegak dan tegas dalam gelombang samudra memenuhi panggilan/tuntutan profesi dilandasi ilmu dan iman.

Pembenahan terus dilakukan, baik pengembangan fisik (gedung dan sarana penunjang lainnya) maupun non fisik, terutama peningkatan dan pengembangan Sumber Daya Insani (SDI). Sampai tahun 2019 ini.

Seiring kemajuan tersebut STIKES Muhammadiyah Kendal saat ini sedang persiapan menuju visitasi untuk pendirian Program Studi Baru, yakni Program Studi S 1. Keperawatan dan Profesi Ners.

Dalam rangka pendirian Prodi baru tersebut, STIKES Muhammadiyah Kendal kembali merencanakan pembangunan sebuah kampus Terpadu yang akan ditempatkan di Kampus lama ( AKPER Muhammadiyah Kendal ) di Jl. Ar Rahmah 18 Ngasinan Weleri Kendal. sehingga diharapkan dengan pembangunan Kampus Terpadu tersebut akan meningkatkan kualitas sebagai Perguruan Tinggi yang lebih baik dan representatif.

MUHAMMADIYAH KENDAL COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES (STIKES) AT A GLANCE

 

I. BACKGROUND

Muhammadiyah Kendal College of Health Sciences (STIKES) which was known as Nursing Academy (AKPER) Muhammadiyah Kendal previously was born and stood for the demands, encouragement and support of the community. Muhammadiyah is a company engaged in the fields of da'wah, social, education and health, feeling called to participate in the intellectual life of the nation and at the same time to support the nation's efforts in building a society that is physically and spiritually healthy. Specifically faced with the fact of interesting of the community to pursue the profession in the field of nursing is increased and public demand for the trend of nursing is very broad, both to meet the needs of domestic and other countries.

For the grace of Allah and support from various parties, finally the government gave credibility officially established Akper Muhammadiyah Kendal obtained the establishment permit based on the Decree of the Minister of Health of Republic of Indonesia Number: HK. 00.06.1.1.548.37 dated 27 February 1996. At the beginning of its establishment, it occupied the Muhammadiyah College building on Jalan Pemuda 75 Kendal, with 32 students from 63 registrants. Under the leadership of Director Dr. Joko Kartono with the assistance of Pudir I Tri Ismu W, A.Md. Kep, Pudir II Drs. Abdullah Sachur and Pudir III Suyatin, A.Md.Kep. Akper Muhammadiyah Kendal tried to organize in addition to socialization efforts to the community. Deep improvements continue to be made, both in building physical construction, laboratory facilities, management tools and human resource development.

Because of Dr. Joko Kartono at that time was also the Director of the Kendal Islamic Hospital (RSIK) and expected his energy to concentrate on the development of the Islamic Hospital, so on January 8, 1998 the Director handed over to Dr. H. Muh. Sukriswo Kusdrifar (as Acting Director). During his leadership, he continued the previous policy, by purchasing a plot of land in Ngasinan, Weleri covering an area of ​​6,200 M2 planned for the construction of the Akper Muhammadiyah Kendal Campus.

Dr. H. Muh. Sukriswo Kusdrifar served as Acting Officer. Director until June 25, 1998, and on that date the PDM Majlis Pembina Kesehatan raised Teguh Anindito, A.Md.Kep. as Director of Akper Muhammadiyah Kendal. In Teguh Anindito's leadership in 2000 Akper Muhammadiyah Kendal officially moved the Campus from Jalan Pemuda 75 Kendal to the new Campus on Jalan Ar Rahmah No. 18 Weleri, Kendal.

Along with the development of AKPER Muhammadiyah Kendal, in the context of institutional development, AKPER Muhammadiyah Kendal. In 2011 the campus moved back to the Muhammadiyah Kendal Da'wah Center Building located on Jalan

Youth 42-46 Kendal until now and has changed form to Muhammadiyah Kendal College of Health Sciences (STIKES) based on SK.

MENRISTEKDIKTI NUMBER: 17 / KPT / I / 2018. Muhammadiyah Kendal School of Health (STIKES) and has 2 (two) Study Programs namely. S. Nutrition Study Program 1 and Nursing Diploma 3. Alhamdulillah, it remains strong and exists in the midst of competition and challenges in the future until now.

It has proved to be increasingly gaining public trust, the number of registrants is increasing, until now it has produced graduates of Graduation XX. Alumni professionalism can also be accepted by the community, absorbed in the field / field of his profession as a nurse both in the Puskesmas, Public / Private Hospital, and many even have worked overseas as experts / educated. And Insha Allah Akper Muhammadiyah Kendal will remain upright and firm in the ocean waves fulfilling the vocation / demands of the profession based on science and faith.

Improvement continues both physical development (buildings and other supporting facilities) and non-physical, especially the improvement and development of Human Resources (SDI). Until 2019 this.

Along with the progress, the Muhammadiyah Kendal STIKES is currently preparing for a visitation for the establishment of a New Study Program, namely the S 1. Nursing and Professional Profession Study Program.

In the framework of the establishment of the new study program, Muhammadiyah Kendal STIKES is planning to build an Integrated campus that will be placed in the old Campus (AKPER Muhammadiyah Kendal) on Jl. Ar Rahmah 18 Ngasinan Weleri Kendal. So that it is expected that the development of the Integrated Campus will improve the quality as a better and more representative College.
